Nicola Stead is a socially engaged artist working with photography based in Glasgow, Scotland. Engaging with local communities within the west of Scotland to tell the story of the place as well as its people, she is interested in issues regarding personal, social, and cultural identities.

Nicola has a First Class Honours Degree in Photography. Her work has been exhibited widely including Portrait of Britain, the RSA, Streetlevel Photoworks, Visual Arts Scotland and the Glasgow Women's Library, as well as being published nationally in publications including The Guardian and Source Magazine.
